Sea 02:51
They said hold tight, you'll make it. Ship is sinking but, We'll save it. And if we don't make it in time then you'll see, beautiful things from the bottom of the sea. From the bottom of the sea Grab the life boats, And preservers. Women and children, First deserters. Men you lived a wonderful life so please, Enjoy it from the bottom of the sea. From the bottom of the sea. Dear Dorthy, This letter, Maybe my last one ever, If you're reading it now that means. Give Johnny all of my love, Give him a big kiss and a hug. Tell him he's the man of the house and he'll be, On my thoughts from the bottom of the sea. From the bottom of the sea. Oh Captain, My Captain. Loyal to you, Give us action I said men you best now swim, I'll be riding to the bottom of the sea. To the bottom of the sea. Give Johnny all my love, Give him a big kiss and a hug, Give Johnny all my love, Give him a big kiss and a hug. Keep swimming, Keep swimming, Until your lungs pull in, Keep swimming, Keep swimming, I'll be at the bottom of the sea.

Paycheck 02:47
They said they want my paycheck, U.S Government, So they can invest in bombs, They say "You gotta son, its patriotic" They said, Well I aint giving them a god damn thing. I'd rather give it all away, to the schools they say "We make the budget, now we got to cut." Well I say, give the kids a fighting chance. And at this point I swore I would be, a super hero of sorts you see, But I am nothing, a zero and that's fine with me, This zero will be something you'll see And I'm a peaceful man so please, don't mistake me for being weak, Because I fill fight son I will fight for equality and I don't really care what you think. What you think, what you think, what you think, oh what you think, no I don't care, what you think, what you think! No I dont care, What you think, what you think, what you think.

Dear Friend 03:07
Dear Friend, Please call me, on the first pay phone to heaven. I sent a rocket up, addressed to the gate keeper, it's full of bribe money. And please right me everyday, send it down on a lightning bolt, and I'll dig oh yes ill dig for it, just like you knew I always would. Well I miss you everyday, yes I miss you everyday, but I know, it wont be long now. And if they don't let you into heaven, I'll be up there in a minuet. Steal an angles wings and fly on up to the nearest cloud, signal you with a flare. Well I miss you everyday, yes I miss you everyday, but I know, it wont be long now.

about

Capturing the fast rising, up and coming bands electric, crowd pleasing, party atmosphere, JDNH’s freshman release is nothing short of pure sing along magic. “Ch.1” is the soundtrack you would hope to have playing after a long awaited reunion followed by debauchery with your best of friends.

The first EP can only be described as a punk/rock/folk infused mix up with gang vocal ensembles that would get even the most lethargic moving. The opening track “Sea”, a crowd favorite, truly captures the energy of a sinking ship that somehow turned into the best night of the passengers lives. Followed by the initially intimate sounds of “Paycheck” that quickly turns into a full bore sing along, the kind of singalong you would grab a stranger to and together join in a triumphant chanting of the defiant lyrics. Ending “Ch.1” is “Dear Friend” (known for being played live with ukuleles), a ballad of loss that somehow still finds a way to fill your heart with hope and joy.

JDNH has been said to be releasing a new EP every few months, with their second EP, “Ch.2” set to release 9/28/18.

For now, we wait impatiently for the bands second release, but find hope in JDNH’s promise to almost constantly have new material releasing for us to celebrate to.
